1. Where are you from?

I spent my childhood in Massachusetts.  I consider Ithaca my home because I have been here for 30 + years.

2. What do you do for a living?

I am a Nurse Practitioner and work in Family Medicine.

3. What are  your favorite CrossFit movements?

Currently  box jumps, dead lifts and overhead squats.

4. What's your least favorite?

Assault Bike -Brutal

Running -Yuk!

5. If you could write a WOD, what would it look like?

6. What's one goal you've crossed off the list?

When I started at Crossfit Pallas, I couldn’t do a push up or complete the 400 meter warm up run without stopping. Now, I can do a set of 5 strict push ups and although I do not enjoy running, I can.

7. What's a goal you have on your list?

Strict pull up and toes to bar!

8. Do you have a favorite book or author?

I just read -Where the Crawdads Sing by  Delia Owens- great fiction

The Coming Plague -Laurie Garrett- about epidemiology and CDC -great for medical nerds

9. What's do you do for self- care?

I love making pottery, listening and singing to music LOUDLY! Also, taking a hot bath with Epsom salts and hiking in the woods

10. What's your favorite season and what's your favorite thing to do during that season?

Summer is the best! – swimming, biking, longer days, hot weather, sunsets, bare feet, campfires, fireflies, start gazing, vacations, camping and kayaking!

11. Do you have a favorite restaurant in the area?

Just a Taste – they have an outside patio to eat, drink and relax

12. What's your favorite home cooked meal?

Grilled steak and salad.

13. What brought you into CFP

My son Theo recommended CrossFit to me. I was concerned about not being physically active and he encouraged me to try it. Janessa told us about CFP.

14. What motivates you?

What keeps me motivated is change. I love learning and trying new things. I am fortunate that my family. Robb, Ben Theo and Drew encourage and cheer me on.

15. Will you be signing up for The Open in October. If so, why?

 I will sign up because it is fun. 

16. What would you tell someone hesitant to start CF?

I would tell them that Crossfit works for everyone because it is about basic functional movements that can be scaled to anyone’s ability level. The coaches at CFP are excellent !
